Character Education Courses
If you are unsure about taking distance learning courses, our Character Education Courses allow you the opportunity to try BYU Independent Study courses at a low price of $42 each. Each course awards you high school credit in either English or Social Studies (but not both.)

XPLR 45 — Character Education: Exploring Values 3
A literary study of additional basic values. Examines the consequences of having or lacking mercy, patience, grace, gratitude, accountability, loyalty, patriotism, and self-sufficiency. 8 lessons, 8 submitted, all Speedback; proctored Speedback final.

USA 41 — Character of America: Documents and Symbols
Discussion of some of the documents and symbols that contribute to the character of America, including the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the flag, national monuments, etc. 10 lessons, 10 submitted, all Speedback; proctored Speedback final.

USA 43— Character of America: The People
Discussion of some of the people who contribute to the character of America, including the presidents and the founding fathers as well as national and local security, etc. 9 lessons, 9 submitted, all Speedback; proctored Speedback final.
